COACHES CORNER

Coaches are our most important resource in the development of the whole player. They promote team sportsmanship and teach skills to the players. Coaches are needed in all age groups. You furnish the willingness and commitment and we'll furnish the training and support. Every coach is trained and Safe Haven Certified prior to being authorized to coach the children.

ALL VOLUNTEER COACHES ARE REQUIRED TO BE SAFE HAVEN CERTIFIED AS WELL AS TRAINED FOR THE AGE GROUP IN WHICH THEY WILL BE COACHING. ALL TRAINING IS FREE.

REQUIREMENTS:

SAFE HAVEN TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION IS 1.5 HOURS. 
THE FOLLOWING AGE SPECIFIC CERTIFICATIONS WILL BE IN ADDITION TO THE SAFE HAVEN TRAINING:

U6 AND U8 COACH TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION IS SAFE HAVEN PLUS 2 HOURS
U10 COACH TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION IS SAFE HAVEN PLUS 3 HOURS
U12 COACH TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION IS SAFE HAVEN PLUS 5 HOURS

THE FOLLOWING CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRE SOME TIME IN SERVICE AT ONE OF THE ABOVE LEVELS.

U14 (INTERMEDIATE) COACH TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION IS SAFE HAVEN PLUS 15 HOURS
U16 AND U19 COACH TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION IS SAFE HAVEN PLUS 18 HOURS. 

COACH TRAINING DATES FOR 2010

All the following classes will be held at the Community Room located next to Fire Station 156 at 6801 W. Deer Valley Rd

August 30th, 6 PM to 10 PM for U6 and U8 Coach

Coaches are strongly encouraged to attend the continuing education classes held during the season.
